Working Group Meetings in Sibiu

Successful workshop in Belgrade

Belgrade Chamber of Commerce recognised the importance of this topic for the promotion of business environment and organised a presentation of EVLIA project on June 18th 2013. The objective of the meeting was to create a working group that would be involved in project activities. After the presentation, stakeholders - Intellectual Property Office, Economics Institute, Faculty of organisational sciences, Innovation Center of the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy in Belgrade, and SIG (Serbian Inventive Group) - had the opportunity to present themselves.

Project partners are business intermediary organizations and academic and research institutes. This group is responsible for elaboration and implementation of the project. These kind of institutions are in charge to support SMEs in their contacts with the financial intermediary world and because of their competence and experience on different aspects related to the IP valuation, from risk analysis, to elaboration of indicators.

The EVLIA project

Innovation is a key driver of Europe's competitiveness and growth. However, young and innovative SMEs face bottlenecks when trying to grow. They are disadvantaged when it comes to attracting external financing if they cannot find equity since they do not usually have the track-record or collateral often required by financial intermediaries and banks. In today’s competitive markets, the use and protection of these intellectual assets is therefore one of the key determinants of success and failure.
